Our Sustainability

Sustainability at Ivy's Attic Jewellery

Here at Ivy's Attic Jewellery, we are dedicated to sourcing the highest quality, longest lasting pieces for you to add to your collection. All of our pieces are consciously chosen by Sean and selected to transcend trends and suit everyone's budget. In keeping with the brand DNA, many of our pieces are vintage inspired, with a modern twist. With love and care, your Ivy's Attic pieces will last you for many years to come. Learn more about our materials and check out or jewellery care tips here.

Packaging

Our packaging at Ivy's Attic Jewellery is made from 100% recycled materials. We chose the highest quality recycled materials for the packaging, and we would hope this is used and reused by you. Ivy’s Attic boxes do not contain tarnish-accelerating chemicals and are perfect for storing your jewellery, keeping it bright, shiny, and tarnish-free.

All of our packaging is FSC®certified https://fsc.org/en.

The FSC® mark guarantees that all materials come from an FSC® forest, where no more wood is cut down than the forest can reproduce. This means better protection of the animal- and plant life, and all foresters have proper training, safety equipment and a decent wage.

Throughout the business, we aim to reduce unnecessary packaging and plastics in all possible ways. Unfortunately, there are some circumstances when plastic packaging is unavoidable in our business procedures. This plastic packaging however, is reused and repurposed until it reaches its end of life, and it is recycled appropriately.

Deliveries

We have partnered with the Irish postal service An Post for all of our online deliveries. An Post is committed to being a leader in Irish businesses for their Sustainability Strategy. An Post is the first postal company in the world to achieve zero emissions deliveries in all of Ireland's cities - Dublin, Waterford, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Kilkenny, resulting in no tailpipe emissions or noise pollution. An Post plays a central role in Irish economic life and society and is committed to embedding Sustainability in all aspects of their business. Their goal is to achieve net zero carbon emissions from their own operations by 2030. We would choose to partner with no one else for delivering your order.

We also offer a Local pick up service option when completing your online purchase, should you want to reduce your impact even further by picking it up directly in store, at the Marina Market. Where possible, we would recommend this option as it is the most environmentally friendly option. Learn more about our shop at the Marina Market, Cork here.

For any returns or exchanges, we would recommend, wherever possible, you to use the packaging your order originally came in. This will reduce waste, and reuse what you already have.
